Tell Carney to stop forcing unreliable heat pumps on Canadians

Prime Minister Carney is pushing a plan to force millions of Canadian households to abandon their traditional heating systems in favour of electric heat pumps — all in the name of his “net zero” agenda.

Carney is calling this a money-saver for Canadian families. Don’t believe it.

The reality is that heat pumps are expensive to install, many insurers will not cover homes that rely exclusively on them, they can struggle during Canada’s brutally cold winters, and widespread adoption would place enormous new demand on already strained electrical grids. The cost of upgrading our electricity infrastructure alone would be staggering — and guess who pays for it? You do.

Carney isn’t trying to save you money. This is about Carney’s ideological commitment to a net zero agenda that punishes everyday Canadians while doing nothing to make life more affordable.

The Carney government must abandon its plan to push Canadians off affordable, reliable home heating.
